ABOUT ME
I have been a clinical psychologist for nearly 30 years and offer you psychological expertise delivered with compassion. I chose this profession because I have always loved personal development and remain fascinated by how our hearts and minds work.

I love working with people of all ages and backgrounds and have dedicated my career to helping individuals bring out their best.
I hold many roles in therapy - as active listener, cheerleader, coach, educator and advocate to name a few. The first session is dedicated to learning about you and your goals. The following sessions are about progressing those goals. I will offer encouragement and insights to help you identify the tools and strategies you need to achieve what is important to you.

I have a special interest in ADHD and ASD and offer diagnostic and cognitive assessments for children and adults.
My post-graduate training in clinical psychology, commitment to professional development and ongoing supervision of other psychologists ensures I offer the latest evidence-based therapies. I have taught and trained thousands of psychologists all over the world and consulted to large global organisations. I still love travelling and training, but have moved into a more local lifestyle now and relish the challenges and rewards of family life.

It is my pleasure to offer psychological services to help you and/or your loved ones live a happy life.
Because you matter.

They are registered (licenced) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - AHPRA. Registered psychologists may offer counselling and assessment/treatment of mental health issues. Each psychologist will have particular areas of interest/specialty.

They have also completed two years supervised specialist practice after training. A clinical psychologist is a registered (licenced) specialist in clinical psychology with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency - AHPRA. WHAT IS A PSYCHIATRIST?
Psychiatrists first complete a medical degree, then complete general intern training. Before specializing in psychiatry, psychiatrists need to practice general medicine for a minimum of one year and register as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia and undertake further training at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). Psychiatrists are able to prescribe medication, whereas psychologists cannot. Psychiatrists have admitting rights to hospitals and typically oversee the medical management of a patient's mental health. Some psychiatrists also provide therapy.
WHAT IS A COUNSELLOR?
In Australia, counselling is not a regulated profession, meaning that there are no particular qualifications or accreditations required to become a counsellor. Although some states (including NSW, VIC, QLD and SA) do require that counsellors abide by a code of practice, which is provided by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
